This week we are excited to showcase creative handcrafted suncatchers made by the Grade 1 students. Student’s environment related activity is from the lesson “එළිය [ආලෝකය] සමඟ සෙල්ලම්”.
Kindergarten students worked in groups or individually to design the suncatchers. Once completed various types of suncatchers were attached to the windows. The classrooms looked very beautiful and were quiet pleasant to the eyes. Teachers noticed the Grade 1 students were eager to see the world in color.
While making the suncatchers, it was enjoyable to hear them talk continuously about this week’s activity.
“Do we see everything in color as the teacher says? They talked to each other. Some students said, “I can’t wait to make the suncatcher.”
“I will hang a suncatcher in every window in my room” – Grade 1 student.
Join us next week for quiet the surprise and until then enjoy this week’s Suncatcher designs.
