This week the Grade 1 students were encouraged to get involved in home gardening. Student’s environment related activity is inspired from the national campaign “අපි වවමු”.
They shared their success stories in the Home Gardening Channel of the respective Class for their friends to appreciate. After finishing their home gardening sessions, it was enjoyable to hear them talk continuously about this week’s activity.
“I have my own vegetable bed, my mother asks me to pick vegetables from it” – Grade 1 student
“Many fruits are grown in our house, I climb the tree and pluck mangoes and eat them. I love to grow plants” – Grade 1 student

Nature Lovers – 26th Issue of the Grade 1 Weekly Newsletter
Kindergarten students are encouraged to share their experiences by posting nature images regularly on the relevant channel for their friends to appreciate. Different types of nature photographs was taken by Grade 1 students which included captures such as – caterpillar, spider, bird’s nest, scorpion, dragon fruit, evening sky, lavenders, eagle, lake, beach and many more.
