Sculpt - Design Club workshop

The design club of Trinity College Kandy strives to fulfil its motto,”Think,Design,Inspire”, by promoting various aspects of design throughout college and in schools around Kandy.

“Sculpt!” is a Clay Sculpture themed workshop organized by the Design Club of Trinity College.

Clay sculpture, which has been an art since the dawn of humanity is a simple, yet very interesting art. During modern times with the use of technology, clay sculpture has been taken to new heights and we hope to promote the art of clay sculpture among the passionate adolescents of Kandy.

The event will be held at the College Main Hall on the 4th of April, from 8.30 am onwards, where professionals will be teaching the participants the basics of clay sculpture. It will also feature a competition where the participants will have to practically apply what they learned throughout the day. The best piece of art will be given due recognition by being exhibited at the Design day, held later this year.

Four schools will be invited for this event, with approximately 100 participants. Four teams from Trinity College will also be participating. The purpose of this project is to promote clay sculpture among young designers in and out of college.
