Dear Parents,
Amidst the crises and challenges that have engulfed us as a nation, we need to keep the beacon of hope alive by collaboration and proactive responses to challenges. We, under no circumstances, should ever neglect our collective responsibility to educate our children. Hence, Trinity College Kandy is constantly exploring all possibilities to maintain an uninterrupted teaching learning experience to ensure a conducive atmosphere for the growth and development of our students.
Hence, we have developed the following schedule and recommendations to suit the different sections of the school by taking into consideration the age of students, their dependency on parents for transport and their preparation for Public Examinations.
Grades 1 – 9 of 2022
Online Lessons on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Onsite Lessons at School on Tuesday and Thursday
Time Schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Grades 10 – 14 of 2022
Classes will be held at School on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Time Schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Appeal to Parents
Dear Parents/ Guardians are requested to consider the following suggestions to overcome transport difficulties.
- Walk to College [in-groups with leaders]
- Push Bicycles [with written consent letter from parents]
- Friends gather for stay-over [with parent consent]
- TCK Boarding will be available for a per diem subsidised fee
- Pooled transport by parents by taking turns
Measures taken currently
• Online Sessions will be recorded to overcome challenges related to power cuts
• Teachers will prepare class notes and post on MS Teams
• Forming study groups for student discussion and support
