Following their resounding victory last week, Trinity College dominated over Science College Colombo on the 27th of July, at the Sugathadasa Stadium, achieving an unprecedented 36-0 victory.
This triumph puts Trinity in a favorable position in the prestigious Schools’ Rugby League ahead of upcoming competitive fixtures. It is fair to say that the team’s strong culture, dedication, and commitment led to their impressive form.
First Half:
Both defenses were extraordinarily strong until the 22nd minute when TCK’s captain Anuhas Koddithuwakku scored an important try, which was converted by Shan Althaf. After this breakthrough, there was no stopping Trinity, who continued to score point after point, ending a successful first half at 12-0.
Second Half:
After the break, Trinity remained unvanquished as they crusaded towards victory, demonstrating great skill and triumphing over Science College. Trinity’s defense was impenetrable, with no hope for Science College to score any points. second half saw an unparalleled score of 24-0, culminating in a final match score of 36-0.
