Creative Writing, presented by the Trinity College Literary Association, will be held on the 08 of August 2021 starting at 06.00pm.

It will centre on the writing skills required to write novels, short stories, and other such creative texts.

The webinar will be hosted by Vihanga Perera, a novelist who was awarded the Gratiaen Award for his novel “Love and Protest” in 2014.

He has worked as a freelance writer for 12 years, a literature and writing tutor for 15 years, an English lecturer in the University of Sri Jayawardenapura for 8 years, a visiting lecturer in the University of Peradeniya for 5 years, and the advisor to the Kingswood College Senior Debate team for 13 years.

His education covers a Master’s Degree in Philosophy from the University of Peradeniya, a minor in English Literature from the aforementioned university, and a Bachelor’s Degree (honours) from the University of Peradeniya. He is currently in Australia pursuing a Doctorate in Philosophy at the Australian National University.
