Trinity Swimming Captain 2022, Mast. Senuja Samarasinghe was recently selected to the Sri Lanka National Swimming Pool 2023.
Senuja took to the pool at a young age of 8 in 2012, and since then has enjoyed every minute in it. He left for England in 2013, where he started competitive swimming. This kickstarted a career that was sure to be a successful one.
He returned back to Sri Lanka and College in 2015 and represented Trinity at Swimming under the guidance of his coach Mr.U.H. Pemlath until today.
Senuja displayed tremendous talent in his first meet in 2020. He placed 7th Overall in the Pentathlon Short Course Swimming Championship, and placed 3rd in the Backstroke.
Afterwhich his momentum was hit hard, as the Covid Pandemic meant that all meets were halted, and Senuja and his team had to cut short on practice.
But as soon as his opportunities arose, he went all out and bagged many medals and accolades at the meets that followed.
