The Trinity College Under 16 Basketball team became overall winners scoring through against many participant schools at the U16 Central Zone Basketball Tournament held from 2nd to 5th March 2023 at Trinity College and Werra Mohan College premises. The tournament was organised by The National Basketball Federation.
The Trinity Under 16 Team scored as follows:

Trinity vs Walala Central College, 72 – 14
Trinity vs Westwood College, 95 – 20

Trinity vs Gateway College Kandy, 58 – 18
Master Savitha Gunawardane was awarded the “Best offensive player” at the tournament while Master Tinuka Jamburegoda was awarded the “Most Valuable player” at the tournament.
