Trinity Swimmers Dominate the National School Games Central Province Swimming Tournament 2023

July 15th and 16th, 2023 marked an extraordinary display of talent and determination as Trinity College took the swimming world by storm at the National School Games Central Province held at Digana Sports Complex. With their remarkable performance, Trinity College emerged as the undeniable champions, leaving their competitors in awe.

Securing an impressive 755 points, Trinity College claimed the top spot in various categories, showcasing their unrivaled prowess in the pool. Throughout the competition, their athletes exhibited exceptional skill, unwavering determination, and true sportsmanship, earning the admiration of all.

In the Under 20 category, Senuja Samarasinghe and S.J.S. Kumar proved to be a formidable duo, capturing the championship title with their extraordinary talent, adding yet another feather to Trinity College’s illustrious cap.

The Under 18 champions, S.V. Jayawanth, Tharusha Herath, and S. Thuwarkish, left an indelible mark on the competition with their remarkable abilities, solidifying Trinity College’s dominance in the swimming arena.

Pahan Anusara, a rising star from Trinity College, showcased an exceptional performance in the Under 16 category, capturing the title and shining brightly among the talented participants.

The Under 14 category saw the emergence of Sethum Tennakoon as a force to be reckoned with. With remarkable skill and determination, Tennakoon represented Trinity College with unparalleled excellence, securing the championship.

Even at a young age, S.C. Goonethilaka displayed incredible talent in the Under 12 category, making Trinity College proud with their exceptional abilities.

Behind every successful team, there are dedicated coaches who guide, mentor, and inspire. Trinity College acknowledges the invaluable contributions of the coaches who have nurtured the swimmers’ talent, instilled discipline, and provided the necessary guidance to reach new heights.
