  • #OnThisDay Did you know? Rev. R. W. Stopford, born in 1901, led Trinity College, Kandy as Principal from 1935 to 1941.

From 1935 to 1941, he guided the College during a time of reform. He later became Bishop of London and was appointed Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (KCVO) in 1973.

His final words to the Trinity community remain powerful even today:

  • In the stillness beneath its soaring roof and gentle light, we are reminded of humility, reflection, and renewal.

As the season of Lent begins, may this sacred space invite us to pause, turn inward, and walk forward with grace!
