Chapel Restoration Project – Newsletter – 3rd Issue

As we step into 2025, new year, we are delighted to share the remarkable progress of the Trinity College Chapel Restoration Project. The past months have witnessed extraordinary transformations as skilled hands have meticulously brought renewed vigor to our sacred space.

We are pleased to announce that the restoration of the chapel’s magnificent murals and intricate woodcarvings has been successfully completed, revealing details and colors hidden beneath centuries of time. Our dedicated team has now turned their expertise to the decorative rafters, while the comprehensive research document chronicling the chapel’s history and restoration process is nearing completion. Additionally, work has commenced on the heritage lighting systems that will illuminate our sanctuary for generations to come.

None of this progress would be possible without the unwavering support of our generous donors, the painstaking work of our conservators, and the guidance of our advisory and oversight committee members. Your commitment to preserving this architectural treasure deserves our deepest gratitude.

While we have reached 62% of our fundraising goal, we still need your help to cross the finish line. Every contribution, regardless of size, brings us closer to rededicating this Trinity treasure before year’s end. We invite all members of our community and well-wishers to join this historic endeavor. Together, we are writing the next chapter in the life of our beloved chapel. Respice Finem

  • Every book begins with a story, and every story begins with a voice.

Join Master Dilrukshan Sureshkumar as he shares the inspiration, emotions, and journey behind Mounam Pesiyadhe ("Silence Spoke") - a remarkable collection of Tamil poetry that explores self-discovery, gratitude, nature, and the power of unspoken thoughts.

A young writer, a powerful voice, and a story worth hearing.
