The 17th encounter of the annual J.C.A. Correa Memorial Trophy unfolded on November 14th, 2023, at the Ekala Air Force Grounds in Ja-Ela. Trinity College faced off against Royal College in a thrilling hockey match.
Trinity College emerged victorious with a final score of Trinity 5 – Royal 3. R.M. Aqeel contributed 2 goals, while Mohomad Arkam also scored 2 goals, and Diluka Thrilakshana (C) added 1 goal to secure the win.
The standout player of the match was Mohamad Arkam, earning the well-deserved title of Player of the Match for his exceptional performance on the field.
The Trinity College hockey team showcased skill and teamwork, with a lineup including Diluka Thrilakshana as captain and Navanjana Dissanayaka as vice-captain. The collective efforts of players like Kasthuri Jayalath, Rithmika Karunarathna, and others contributed to the team’s success.
Trinity’s journey toward this unforgettable and challenging battle was stuffed with nail-biting moments to incredible displays of resilience.
