The A.G.Fraser Shield, Inter House Rugby tournament was unfolded at the Trinity College Rugby stadium Pallekele, on the 16th December 2023.
Despite slight delays due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions, a fierce battle ensued between the houses and unforgettable displays of sportsmanship were a spectacle to observe.
As acknowledged and anticipated, one house was to be the winner. Thereby, Orloff emerged triumphant champions of the Rev.A.G. Frazer Shield for the year 2023. Securing 2nd place was the Central Boarding House, showcasing the grit of the players.
The Best Kicker award won by Master Yewan Hulangamuwa of Orloff House was a testament of his exceptional contribution to his team’s success.
A huge thank you goes to the Vice Principal Mr.K. Anthonydas and Co-Vice Principal Mr. Ananda Marasinghe for gracing the event amidst their busy schedule.
The terminating whistle echoed through the Pallekelle rugby stadium, concluding a memorable tournament in the sporting history of Trinity College.
The Rev. A.G. Fraser Shield Rugby Tournament not only showcased the prowess of the participating teams but also celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among the students.
