G.C.E. ORDINARY LEVEL - UPPER SCHOOL

As a government-approved private school, Ordinary Level education model aligns with National Educational Policies, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for our students.

Curriculum Overview

Our curriculum includes a combination of six compulsory subjects alongside three elective subjects chosen from three distinct baskets:

Compulsory Subjects:

  • First Language (Sinhala/Tamil)
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • History
  • English as a Second Language
  • Religion (Buddhism/Christianity/Hinduism/Islam)

Elective Subjects: Students can select three elective subjects from the following categories:

After two years of dedicated preparation and learning, students will take the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination, which serves as a gateway to the G.C.E. Advanced Level program.

Facilities and Leadership

Currently, the Ordinary Level programme is located in the Gaster and Fraser Blocks, accommodating nine parallel classes in both Grade 10 and Grade 11. This includes four English medium classes, three Sinhala medium classes, and one Tamil medium class.

The program is led by Mr. Sahana Vajirasena, with support from Mr. Kanishka Samarasundara. Together, they guide a dedicated team of 25 teachers, committed to providing holistic education to our young Trinitians during this pivotal stage of their academic journey.
