Trinity College Kandy is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person as Senior Assistant Farm Manager at the College Farm situated at Balagolla.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will be involved in general administration, supervision of vegetable, fruit and other crop cultivation, livestock management and animal husbandry. His skills should contribute towards the Farm running at a profit whilst providing students of Trinity College an opportunity to get practical insight and experience in farming and farming techniques.
The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications/ attributes:
- Ability to manage the workers and general resources of the Farm to maintain a high level of productivity AND
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from a recognised University with 10 years working experience in Animal Husbandry with special emphasis on piggery, vegetable, fruit and coconut cultivation and milk processing OR Possess a Diploma in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry from a recognized Institution with 10 years’ experience at Managerial level including knowledge and experience as above.
Fluency in English will be a distinct advantage.
