A joyful evening unfolded on 12th September as Trinity College, Kandy held the Kindergarten Concert 2025 at the District Secretariat Auditorium A. This year’s event celebrated unity, diversity, and imagination, as students from Grades 1 and 2 performed with joy and confidence.
The evening began with a prayer and words of welcome, followed by a lively series of performances that showed the richness of our culture and the creativity of our students. Some of the performances included: Pooja Dance, Welcome to Paradise, The Bravery of Ceylon, Tea Leaves Dance, Fields of Laughter, Cane Dance of Fire, The Pulse of the Land, Wildlife Wonders, Baila Little Champs, Let’s Save Our Ocean, Echoes of the Ocean, Echoes of the Choir, Enchanting Dance of Lanka, and One Village, One Rhythm. Each one told its own story—some honouring our traditions, others highlighting nature, imagination, and working together.
The children’s excitement and effort were met with smiles and applause from parents and guests. The concert was a true show of talent and teamwork by the youngest members of the College.
A warm thank you goes to the Kindergarten and Junior School teachers, led by Junior School Headmistress Mrs Chamali De Tissera. With her support, Mrs Himali Mulleriyawa (Junior School Coordinator), Mrs Lakdini Jayasundara (Grade 1 Head), and Mrs Sanjeewani Bandara (Grade 2 Head) worked closely to guide and prepare the children. Their hard work was a big part of the evening’s success.
The Principal, Vice Principal, Co-Vice Principal, Finance Manager, Chaplain, Mr Wasana Dissanayake, Mrs Sulakshana Abeynayake, the Premises Manager and his team, TCMU, and all support staff were also thanked for helping to make the concert possible. The assistance provided by the parents is deeply appreciated.
As the National Anthem marked the end of the evening, the Kindergarten Concert 2025 became a special part of the College’s journey. Through songs, dances, and stories, Trinity’s youngest students brought many voices together to share one joyful message.
