Members of the Trinity College Ornithology Club received national recognition in 2025 for their exceptional photography skills at several nature and environmental competitions held across Sri Lanka. Their work was praised for its creativity, technical finesse, and deep connection with the natural world.
Key Achievements:
National Wildlife Photography Awards 2025
Held on 1 August at Waters Edge Hotel, Battaramulla, this competition was organised by the Department of Wildlife Conservation under the School Category. It brought together young photographers from across the island.

ONE EARTH Photography Competition
Organised by Dilmah Conservation, the ONE EARTH awards ceremony took place on 16 September at Genesis, Maligawatte. The competition honoured students whose photography reflected a deep environmental awareness.

IOBSL e-Photography Competition 2025
Hosted by the Institute of Biology, Sri Lanka, this competition focused on environmental and scientific photography. The award ceremony was held on 25 September at the Institute of Biology, Colombo.

These accomplishments reflect not only the dedication and talent of the Club’s members, but also the nurturing environment at Trinity College, Kandy, which encourages students to explore their interests beyond the classroom.
