All Island Western Music and Dance Competition organised by the Ministry of Education was held on 10th July 2017 at the National Institute of Education. Trinity College was placed in the highest, A1 Category, for this event.
All three Western Music choirs, Primary, Junior and Senior were awarded 1st place at the competition, with the Junior Choir awarded 272 points, and the Senior Choir 271 points.
This is the third consecutive year Trinity College has won first place awards for all three Western Music choirs.
Trinity College also won 2nd place in the Piano solo (Abhisheka Surendrakumar), and Junior vocal solo (Shevendra Herath).
