A creative writing workshop was organized by the English faculty of Trinity College on 1st November 2018 from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm in the Junior School Hall, to promote creative writing for pleasurable to young students.
An invitation was sent to the Chief Editor of the Chokolaate Magazine. Mrs Michelle Goonesekara and her team gladly agreed to conduct the workshop free of charge to the boys at Trinity.
The workshop was targeted to students of Grade 5 and 6. Three sessions were held, each beginning with an ice breaker, followed by a brief introduction to the elements of creative writing, and ending with a group writing activity based on a given topic.
The students responded positively to the workshop and enjoyed all the discussions and activities.
