A “pola” by the Grade 3 students – a maths lesson made fun

A ‘pola‘ was organized on Wednesday, 18th September 2019 for Grade 3 students to get some real life experience in mathematical concepts of a money transaction.

Children bought vegetables and fruits from their home gardens and other small items to sell.  It was also a wonderful occasion to see the students dressed in traditional Sri Lankan clothes as they sold their food and items to their customers.

All the children and the staff at the Junior school enjoyed the Pola, it was a great experience for everyone.

"O Lord, I love the house where you live, the place where your glory dwells." – Psalm 26:8 Ninety years ago on 3rd March, the Trinity College Chapel was dedicated to God—a place of prayer, peace, and purpose. Dedicated to God in 1935, this sacred house of prayer was built with devotion, love, and the finest craftsmanship—each stone, each pillar, and each carving telling a story of purpose and vision. Generations of Trinitians have walked through this Chapel, finding solace in prayer, strength in silence, and inspiration in its beauty. From moments of quiet reflection to the resounding voices of the choir, the Chapel has been at the heart of our journey, shaping lives in ways words cannot fully capture.
