We are delighted to note that Trinity Badminton Player Master Mahen Wijesundara has secured 3 victories at the recently concluded 69th National Badminton Championship held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium from 13th to 19th December 2021.
The tournament was organized by the Sri Lanka Badminton Association.
Mahen achieved the following:
- Under 19 Singles – 3rd Place (Semi Finalist)
- Under 19 doubles – 2nd place (Runners Up)
- Open Mens Doubles – Quarter Finalist
Mahen’s Double partner was a Royalist and a member of the National Badminton Pool. We would also like to record that this is the first time in almost 2 decades of Trinity’s Badminton history, a Trinitian has become a Semi Finalist and a Runners Up at Under 19 Singles and Doubles.
We congratulate Mahen for his achievements and wish him best for his future endeavors in Badminton.
