The Chapel of Trinity College was breathing alive with Kithu Dhara, a blend of traditional, Sri Lankan Christmas carols and festive cheer in the evening of 16 December 2023.
Students of all grades and faith united in a celebration of cultural diversity exhibiting talent: a testament to their commitment towards musical excellence.
The Oriental Music Orchestra of TCK, displayed an unprecedented skill and sophistication, adding a wonderful aura to the occasion. With over 22 songs, they successfully ignited the vibrancy of creativity and passion, leaving the audience in awe.
The event was graced and honoured by faithful priests and distinguished guests from all parts of Sri Lanka, adding significance to the celebration.
We appreciate the enthusiastic Master in charge of Oriental Music, Mr. Chamila Maddegoda, the dedicated Junior School and Middle School Oriental Music teachers, Mrs. Jayanthi Wijekoon, and Mrs. Arosha Weersinghemenike for their unwavering diligence and effort.
Within the walls of Trinity, we are proud of the excitement generated by this event, which served as a powerful reminder of the importance of unity across diverse backgrounds. Unanimously, we accord to share altruism, joy and happiness, with a fine blend of musical genius to remember, for many years to come.
