The Trinity College Commerce Society hosted its Annual Commerce Day named “La Impresa” meaning “The Company” on the 28th of February 2025. This event aimed to nurture the skills of business strategy, entrepreneurship, digital marketing and hospitality to the young minds of the Trinity College Commerce Society. The event was graced by Mrs. Shivalatha Sivasundaram, an experienced Corporate Trainer specializing in Communications, Business Etiquettes, Client Servicing and Management Principles.
The event consisted with an interactive Q&A Session by Mrs.Shivalatha Sivasundaram to cultivate keen interest among the students of the Trinity College Commerce Society and the other invited schools. The event also consisted with an Intra-school Poster Competition for various age groups, an Inter-school Essay Competition and an Inter-school Logo Designing Competition. The winners of these competitions were awarded certificates for the first, second and third places. Additionally, there were two entertainment items from the Western Music Society and Oriental Music Society. The entertainment items managed to add more color to this spectacular event.

After the Awarding Ceremony and Interactive session, the event wrapped up with a fantastic end with students from various schools carrying awards and their epitome of joy. The bright expressions of their smiles made the event an instant success. Most importantly, many thanks go to our Principal Rev. Fr. Araliya Jayasundara, the Chief Guest of the event Mrs. Shivalata Sivasundaram, Director of the Trinity College Co-Curricular Enrichment Initiative Mr. Wasana Dissanayake, The Sectional Head of the Commerce Section Mr. Chamith Kumara, The Assistant Sectional Head of the Commerce Section Mrs. Thamara Bandara, The Teacher-in-charge of the Commerce Society Mrs. Suneetha Kumari, The Teachers of the Commerce Society, The teachers-in-charge of judging the designing the Poster Competition Mr. Rathnayake and Mrs.Naufer, The Old Boys` of Trinity College Kandy who helped pull off the La Impresa successfully, the Past Committees` of the Commerce Society, The Exco Committee, The President of the Commerce Society Master Vidusha Dharmasooriya, The Vice President of the Commerce Society Master Punula Wijerathne and the students of the Commerce Society whose efforts should be recognized for producing a stellar event adding vibrant detail to the Trinity College Calendar. With all these contributions, “La Impresa” will surely be remembered as a shining example of collaboration, talent, and passion for excellence.
