The Table Tennis teams of Trinity College, Kandy showed determination and spirit at the National Schools’ Games held at the Bandaragama Indoor Stadium from 15 to 17 September 2025.
The Under 18 team, led by captain Master Yevan Bandara, delivered a strong performance throughout the championship. The team included Lasas Somachandra, Shafiullah Akram, and Yomal Hulangamuwa. They demonstrated their skill in a closely contested match against Dharmasoka College to secure the runners-up position, bringing pride to the College.
The Under 20 team, under the leadership of Master Diluk Alexander, also performed admirably and reached the quarter-finals of the tournament. The team comprised Hirun Bandara, Senhiru Deegalla, Ravishitha Fernando, and Vikum Dissanayake. Though they bowed out at that stage, their efforts reflected commitment and teamwork.
We gratefully acknowledge the dedicated coaching of Mr Sampath Kumara and the guidance of the Master-in-Charge, Mr Naveen Abeysekara, whose support played a vital role in the progress of both teams.
