Five scouts from the 17th Kandy Trinity College Scout Troop, Master Kalana Ekanayake, Master Yenuka Illangakoon, Master Mohamed Shanaf, Master Yathursan Shashikumar, and Master Rohit Ruckshanan, represented Sri Lanka at the SG60 Singapore International Jamboree.
Before the jamboree, the Sri Lanka Scout Association organised a two-day training camp for all selected participants. Held on 1 and 2 November 2025 at the Lee Dasanayake Scout Training Centre in Mirigama, the camp provided essential camping knowledge and allowed the scouts to meet peers from various institutions across Sri Lanka.
On 12 November, the Bon Voyage ceremony took place at the National Scout Headquarters in Colombo. During this event, participants received their air tickets from the Chief Commissioner, Mr Janaprith Fernando.
The contingent departed Sri Lanka on 16 November, arriving in Singapore the following morning. Before heading to the campsite, the group visited Changi Airport. The jamboree was held from 18 to 23 November at the Sarimbun Scout Campsite, bringing together scouts from around the world to celebrate unity and culture.
Following a warm welcome from the Singapore Scout Association, the official opening ceremony on 19 November marked the start of a week of activities. The Trinity scouts participated in team challenges, workshops, and cultural exchanges, exploring notable sites across Singapore and connecting with international scouts through the traditional exchange of badges.
A significant highlight was the Cultural Night, where participating countries performed traditional dances. The Sri Lankan contingent shared their heritage through a traditional dance, fostering a sense of pride and global diversity.
Beyond the scheduled activities, the jamboree provided a platform for the students to develop scouting skills and forge international friendships. The scouts returned home inspired by a strengthened sense of global brotherhood.
The group extends its gratitude to the Singapore Scout Association, the Sri Lanka Scout Association, and the College administration, including the Principal, the Master-in-Charge, and the Director of Co-Curricular Activities, for their guidance. Special thanks are also due to the Troop Leader, Assistant Troop Leader, and the parents for their continued support.
