The Trinity College Art Circle proudly recognised the achievements of participants in ‘Art Beyond Boundaries ’26’, the Inter-house Art Competition held under the theme ‘Heritage & Culture’ on 25 May 2026. The certificate awarding ceremony took place during the Monday morning assembly on 22 June 2026, where the efforts and artistic accomplishments of young Trinitians were celebrated before the College community. Squealery emerged as the Junior Champion House, while Central Boarding House secured the Senior Championship and the David Paynter Memorial Award.
The competition encouraged students to explore and interpret the richness of heritage and cultural identity through artistic expression. Participants produced thoughtful works that reflected traditions, customs, and the diverse influences that shape our collective identity, demonstrating both creativity and a deep appreciation for cultural values.
During the assembly, certificates were awarded to all place winners in recognition of their performances. The titles of Best Artist – Junior and Best Artist – Senior were also conferred upon students who displayed exceptional artistic ability, originality, and creativity. Gold medals were presented in recognition of their achievements.

The assembly also recognised the achievements of the Houses. In the Junior Division, Gibson, Sahayam, Saunders, and Pilcher secured the positions of fourth, third, second, and first runners-up respectively, while Squealery was named Junior Champion. In the Senior Division, Lemuel, Oorloff, Simithraaratchy, and Garret were named fourth, third, second, and first runners-up respectively, while Central Boarding House emerged as Senior Champion.
The Trinity College Art Circle extends its appreciation to all participants, teachers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the competition. Through ‘Art Beyond Boundaries ’26’, students were encouraged to reflect on the richness of heritage and culture while using art as a medium to preserve traditions, celebrate identity, and express their perspectives with confidence.
The competition highlighted the ability of art to connect generations, tell meaningful stories, and inspire young minds to honour the legacy they inherit while shaping the future through imagination.
