The G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination stands as a pivotal milestone in a student’s academic journey in Sri Lanka. Every year, thousands of ambitious students undertake this highly competitive exam, aspiring to secure a place at a prestigious state university or unlock new pathways to higher education. The A/L Examination serves not only as a rigorous assessment of knowledge but also embodies the qualities of dedication, perseverance, and focus that students cultivate over several years.
The 2024 G.C.E. A/L Examination faced significant challenges due to inclement weather conditions and other unforeseen events that disrupted the original exam schedule. Nevertheless, the Department of Examinations took exceptional measures to minimize disruptions, ensuring minimum discomfort and challenges for the candidates sitting the examination.
This year, Trinity College Kandy achieved outstanding academic success, producing a remarkable number of district rankers across various streams in the 2024 G.C.E. A/L Examination. Students from Biological and Physical Sciences, Arts, and Commerce streams made their alma mater proud with exemplary performances, underscoring the school’s commitment to academic excellence.

The academic success of these students was celebrated at the assembly on the morning of 23rd May 2025. The atmosphere was charged with pride and joy as students and teachers united to honour these high achievers, embodying the spirit of excellence within the Trinity community.
