The year in retrospect has been a year of considerable success for Trinity College Junior School IT Club.
IT DAY 2018
The Junior School IT Club (IT GENIUS) organized the Junior School IT Day for the first time on 6th of June 2018 at the Junior School Hall. The event was conducted by the Junior School IT Teachers under the supervision and guidance of the Co. Vice Principal Mr A.S. Marasinghe. The chief guest was Dr Asitha Bandaranayke, Senior Lecturer and Director of Internet and Communication Service Unit, University of Peradeniya. The occasion was graced by the Principal, Chaplain, IT Director and the staff of the Junior School.
The enthusiastic members of the Junior School IT Club performed various activities on the stage such as a drama, songs, speeches, a debate and presentations.
The winners of the IT competitions were awarded certificates and gifts.
IT EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION 2018
The IT Club of Trinity College Junior School organized their annual educational excursion for the first time on the 3rd of November 2018. The programme was held at the Computer Engineering Department, University of Peradeniya.
The excursion was planned under the guidance of Co-Vice Principal Mr A. S. Marasinghe, IT Director Mr Chamira Athauda and the Junior School IT teachers. The members of Grade 5 IT Club took part in this event and gained valuable knowledge related to Robotics and Arduino boards.
The Programme was conducted by Dr Asitha Bandaranayake, the Director of Internet & Communication Services Unit, University of Peradeniya. Important demonstrations were carried out by his team of students in the Computer Engineering Department.
This eventful year definitely gave the students an understanding in IT which would help them to go that extra mile in their lives.
