London A Levels Open Day

Trinity College will be opening a London A Level Section at the school in May 2018. Offering the world-recognised Edexcel IAL qualification, it will be co-educational with small class sizes and personalized attention.

The following subjects will be offered: Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Literature, History, Geography, Economics, Business Studies, Accounts and ICT. More subjects (eg Art&Design, Psychology and French) may also be available, depending on the demand. Teachers will be qualified, experienced and dynamic Edexcel A Level practitioners.

In addition to existing Trinitians, the Section will be open to suitable, high quality applicants (both Girls and Boys) from other schools. If accepted as Trinitians, they will enjoy all the benefits and facilities (including sports and extra-curricular activities) offered at Trinity College.

On Monday 29th January 2018 at 4.00pm (starting at the Junior School Hall) there will be an Open Day for all students (and their parents) who are interested in studying London A Levels at Trinity. There will be refreshments at 6.00pm, following the Meeting.

Following presentations by Mrs Premila Paulraj, the Asia Regional Director of Pearson (Edexcel), the Examinations Officer of the British Council, and the Principal of Trinity, there will be a chance to see the brand new London A Level Section (currently being decorated and equipped to a high standard). Senior staff, the Sectional Head and teachers will also be present to meet students and parents and answer any questions informally following the Meeting.

Please contact the Principal direct (principal@trinitycollege.lk) if you have any questions.

  • What did the construction of the Trinity College Chapel look like a hundred years ago?

Only a handful of photographs survive from those early years. Using modern AI video generation powered by @googlegemini 's Veo 3.1, we have brought these quiet fragments back to life, offering a glimpse of how the Chapel slowly took shape through patience, craftsmanship, and vision.

We hope this reconstruction helps you appreciate the vision, labour, and devotion that shaped one of Trinity’s most treasured landmarks.
