A cool breeze swept through the Asgiriya Stadium as the boys, in their house colours, were gearing themselves up to win the Inter House Track and Field Competition 2019.
A month of hard work had come down to this final day, the 31st of January 2019. This is one of the most anticipated events in Trinity’s sporting calendar.
A member of the Flag Squad handed over the College flag to the Principal who declared the sports-meet open. The meet started off with the Olympic torch being lit by the Athletics leaders Chamath Hewage and Kavith Rathnayake, and the respective Games Captains of all the 10 Junior and Senior houses. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr Ranpatabendi (Athletics Captain in 1990).

- 60m (U12)
- 80m (U14)
- 100m (U12, 14,16,18,20)
- 4 into 50m (U12)
- 4 into 100m (U12, 14,16,18,20)
- 20 into 100m (U12, 14 and open)
- Invitation Relays
- Staff Race
- March Past – Upper School
- Drill Display – Grade 6
After a great day of sport, the boys assembled behind their house marching squads for the award ceremony where the athletes placed in their respective events were felicitated.
The overall results of the Junior houses are as follows:
1st – Pilcher House – 134 points
2nd – Sahayam House – 130 points
3rd – Gibson House – 89 points
4th – Saunders House – 66 points
5th – Squeallary House 13 points
The final results of the Senior houses are as follows:
1st – Oorloff House – 327 points
2nd – Central Boarding House – 310 points
3rd- Simithraarachchy House – 308 points
4th – Garrett house – 284 points
5th – Lemuel House – 267 points
