Message from the Trinity Rugby Captain

As the captain of the 2021 Trinity College rugby team, I sincerely wish to express my deep regret regarding the incident which transpired after the Trinity-S.Thomas’ friendly rugby encounter on the 26th of March 2022. I am sure, both teams waited for a long time to play this match.

I strongly feel that what happened after the match was so unpleasant and it should have never occurred. I sincerely regret it very much.
It has been a learning experience for us as a team and as individuals, good sportsmanship and the values taught and upheld by our college should never be compromised whatever the circumstance may be.

On behalf of my team, I extend my sincere apologies from the bottom of my heart to the referee, the match officials, the Warden of S. Thomas’ and the team, to our own Principal, staff and fellow Trinitians, old boys and all other members of the Trinity family for any breach of hallowed Trinity traditions.
