We are delighted to announce that the Trinity Under-17 Cricket team emerged winners in the semi final match played against S. Thomas’ College, Mt Lavinia at the Surrey Village Ground, Maggona. Trinity College beat S. Thomas’ College, Mt Lavinia by 4 wickets.
St. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia scored 211/9 in 50 overs. Valitha Udara, Lakvin Abeysinghe and Malith Rathnayake picked up 2 wickets each.
Trinity College chased down the target by scoring 213/6 in 49.4 overs. Deemantha Mahavithana scored 63 runs and Lakvin Abeysinghe scored 44 runs.
Trinity Under 17 team advanced to the final round of the Under-17 division 1 Inter-School cricket tournament and will be facing St. Joseph’s College, Colombo.
