We are delighted to announce that the Trinity College 1st XI team emerged winners in the semi final match played against St. Anthony’s College, Kandy at the Thurstan College ground Colombo. Trinity College beat St. Anthony’s College, Kandy by 2 wickets.
St. Anthony’s College, Kandy scored 202/6 in 50 overs. Vibhavith Ehelepola picked up 2 wickets for 27 and Theeraka Ranathunga picked up 2 wickets for 31 runs.
Trinity College chased down the target by scoring 204/8 in 49.2 overs. Theeraka Ranathunga scored 57 runs, Wathila Udara scored 37 runs, Dinusha Pieris scored 29 runs and Rahal Amarasinghe scored 23 runs.
Trinity 1st XI team advanced to the final round of the Under 19 Division 1 Tier A One Day tournament and will be facing Richmond College, Galle on 2nd of December, at Police Park Grounds, Colombo.
