At 6.00p.m. on the 20th of January 2023, the College main hall exhibited the talents of more than 150 students from the Oriental Music, Western Music and Dance sections of the Trinity College Kandy Junior School.
The event commenced with the Lighting of the oil lamp starting a promising night of aesthetic glory!
The first event presented was the Drum Orchestra which the Junior School Drum and Dance Troupe executed to perfection producing a wonderful start to an exciting event!
“Gabriel’s Message”, A Basque Christmas folk Carol, displayed the marvelous skills of the Junior School Choir creating a joyous Atmosphere.
පරිසරය පිළිඹදව ඉතා වර්ණවත් ගීතයක්ය “මල් රේණු නටලා“, සුසිල් ප්‍රේමරත්න ශුරින් ගයන මෙම ගීය එතුමාට නොදෙවෙනි වෙන අන්දමට ප්රාථමික අංශයේ පෙරදිග සංගීත කණ්ඩායම මෙම ගීතය මියුරු ලෙස ගායනය සහ වාදනය කලෝය
උඩරට නර්තන කලාවේ වන්නම් දහඅට අතරින් ඉතා සිත් ඇදගන්නා වන්නමක් වන “මයුරා වන්නම” ප්රාථමික අංශයේ නර්තන කණ්ඩායම විසින් අතිවිශිස්ට ලෙස ඉතිරිපත් කරන ලදී.
වර්නන් පෙරේරා ශුරීන්ගේ ” රංචු රංචු”, පරිසරයේ තිබෙන සුන්දර දේවල් ළමයින්ට උපමා කරන ඉතා විශිෂ්ට ගීතයක් වන අතර, මෙය ප්රාථමික අංශයේ පෙරදිග සංගීත කණ්ඩායම ඉදිරිපත් කරේ දරුවකු ගේ ළමා කාලයේ ඇති සුන්දරත්වය පිළිඹදව මනා ලෙස පැහැදිලි කරමින්ය.
මීළඟට දරුවාට හිමිවිය යුතු සුන්දර හා සරල ළමා කාලය පිළිබඳව දිනත් දී සිල්වා මහත්මයා රචනා කල “අතේ පයේ හිරි යන්න” ගීතය,3වසරේ ඉගෙනගන්නා සිසුන් විසින් ඉතා මිහිරි ලෙස ඉතිරිපත් කර ප්‍රේක්ෂකයින් ව අමන්දානන්දයට පත් කරන ලදී.
A Well known and loved Folk Song ” Annie’s song ” sung by the Junior School Choir made everyone applaud in delight.
“Kavadi Dance” is a well known Tamil dance which has a proud history, The Dance Troupe of the Junior school showcased their skills in a magnificent manner resulting in the crowd to roar with cheers.
“පොප්” සංගීත කාණ්ඩයට “ලක්ෂ ගණන් වස්තු ලැබී” ගීතය මුදල් සහ මුදල් සහ ජීවිතය අතර පවතින සම්බන්ධය පිළිඹඳ ඉතා ජනප්‍රිය ගීතයකි. මිල්ටන් පෙරේරා, සී. ටී ප්‍රනාන්දු, ඇන්ටන් රොඩ්රිගෝ වැනි ඉතා ප්‍රකට ගායකයින් විසින් ගැයුණු මෙම ගීතය, ප්රාථමික අංශයේ පෙරදිග සංගීත කණ්ඩායම ගායනයෙන් සහ වාදනයෙන් ඉතා ජයග්‍රාහී ලෙස ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට සමත් විය.
“Mamma Mia” A Swedish Pop song by the Famous “ABBA” Group was presented excellently by the Junior School Choir resultied in an immensely successful song.
The Classical song ” You raise me up” Exhibited by the unprecedented musical skills of the Junior School Choir resulted in a Heart warming display.
මීළඟට, ගස් වැල්, අහස, වලාකුළු වැනි පරිසරයේ ඇති සන්දිත්ස්ථාන අයුරින් ජිවත් වන ළමයින් පිළිඹඳ ඉතා ආශිර්වාදජනක ගීයක් වන “පා වෙලා යන” ගීතය ත්‍රිත්ව විද්‍යාලිය ප්රාථමික අංශයේ නර්තන කණ්ඩායම ප්‍රදර්ශනය කළ මෙම ගීය සැමගේම අත්පොලසන් ලැබූ ප්‍රදර්ශනයක් බවට පත් විය.
Arguably the most vibrant event of the day, The “Zindagee” – a Hindi song sung by Master. Jerusha Walpolapitya who is currently studying in Grade 4 along with the Junior school Oriental Music band and the iconic dances onstage by the Junior school Dance Troupe ended the fantastic event in an excellent manner.
The reason for this unprecedented success of this event is mainly because of the impressive commitment shown by the Members of the Junior School Aesthetic faculty.
