With the recent merger of two extra-curricular heavy weights the Culinary Club and the Hospitality Club, the inaugural gathering of the newly unified Culinary and Hospitality Club took place on Wednesday the 22nd of March at the auspicious venue of the Lakshman Kadirgamar Auditorium. In-person attendance was robust, with participation exceeding expectation.
The AGM proved as a pivotal moment in the club’s calendar for 2023 as it served as an opportunity to convene and deliberate both on past performances and future expectations in mind. With the introduction of the new VMOSA (Vision, Mission, Objectives, Strategies, and Action Plans), which was designed to include the best of both worlds while standing true to its values, plotted a clear line of trajectory for the subsequent years that will follow.
The gathering saw the succession of new line of office bearers to take seats as the new executive committee for the upcoming annum. The preceding committee was honoured with a shower of applause and praise for the monumental tasks they accomplished in the prior year.
As per tradition the door was opened for new recruits with keen interests in the fine culinary arts and hospitality to reserve their seats in this young yet ambitious club.
The AGM was concluded via the presentation of the year plan which made the audience frisson of excitement in anticipation of what was to come.
