We’re proud to announce that our team from Trinity College, Kandy has qualified to represent both the Central Province and our school at the All-Island Tourism Club Competition 2025. The national-level event will take place in Colombo on 30 September, following our participation in the Inter-School Tourism Club Competition 2025, where we took part in a range of culinary, hospitality, and tourism-related events with students from across the island.
In the Taste of the Province – Local Harvest Main Course Competition, our team was led by Master C. M. S. H. Chandrasekara as Head Chef, with Master Sajana supporting as Assistant Chef. Together, we created a dish that captured the unique flavours of the Central Province. The judges praised our blend of authenticity and creativity, and we were honoured to secure first place.
In the Precision Bed Making Competition, Master Roshin Karthik and Master Harikesh Prabhanger showed outstanding technical skill, precision, and calmness under pressure. Their performance earned recognition and contributed strongly to Trinity’s success at the event.
Master Roshin Karthik also took part in the Coffee & Creativity Contest, where his distinctive blend and presentation captured the character of our province. His performance earned him an individual award, a moment we were all proud of.
We also had Master W. G. N. M. N. N. Karunarathne competing in the Appetiser Competition, while Master T. Humrushan and Master R. M. A. S. Ranwala took part in the Tea & High Tea Artistry Competition. While they didn’t move on to the next stage, their hard work and commitment added great value to our team’s presence at the event.
Thanks to these efforts, Master C. M. S. H. Chandrasekara, Master Sajana, Master Roshin Karthik, and Master Harikesh Prabhanger will now represent Trinity and the Central Province at the All-Island Tourism Club Competition in Colombo.
This experience has been both challenging and inspiring for all of us. It reflects the spirit of Trinity — encouraging us to grow, work as a team, and explore our talents beyond the classroom. We’re grateful for the opportunity and excited to take the next step at the national level.
