My Dear Trinitians, Greetings! Pray you are well and safe under the care of your beloved parents. I write to you this brief note on the 01st of October -World Children’s Day to remind you of our commitment to you. As it is amply reflected in the rich history of our alma mater, Trinity is and always will be about the holistic growth of the student. As we are at the threshold of T150, I resonate the collective commitment of the Trinity Family to serve you in your journey towards excellence. What is so unique about being a child? For me, it is simply the only phase of the miracle of life that gives us unstinted freedom to dream about your future. It is an adventure to explore life, together with your family, relations, teachers, and friends. Among the many challenges you encounter, especially in the context of the pandemic, the allurements of “the moment” seem the most destructive. Live beyond the tempting pleasures of the moment and embrace the greater scheme of life. The Bible caution is very relevant for you today – “therefore be as prudent as snakes and as innocent as doves”. We are awaiting eagerly to have all of you back at College. Please do convey our love and appreciation to your parents, for their dedication. Incidentally, today is the first anniversary of my appointment as the Principal. It has been a year filled with many blessings. Please do whisper a prayer for me, that I may steer the destinies of our alma mater “exploring vistas of excellence”. Happy Children’s Day 2021. Respice Finem Fr. Araliya Jayasundara OSB Principal.
We congratulate all the students who excelled in the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination of 2020. The excellent results obtained with a 99% Advanced Level Qualification rate is purely due to the commitment of students, staff and parents. This achievement is significant in many ways given the challenges the parents, students and teachers continue to experience due to the global pandemic. We wish to place our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Sahana Vajirasena, the Sectional Head and the teachers of the O/L Section for their dedication and professionalism. Principal

An Open Day was conducted for our International A/L section on 19th March 2021 at the IAL premises. A considerable number of potential students and their parents attended this event to gather insight about the Edexcel portfolio at Trinity. Addressing the gathering, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Araliya Jayasundara OSB said, “Introducing IALs 3 years ago was a very ambitious as well as a progressive move to facilitate the ever-changing educational needs of the millennial student, whose world view is beyond the local curriculum and mere passing an examination. With a view of enhancing creative educational opportunities of the students who join IALs, Trinity has upgraded the infrastructure at the IAL section, extended the regular co/ extra-curricular activities of the college to the IAL students and even provide refurbished hostel facilities to those who need such facilities.” During the last 3 years College has invested on IAL driven human and infrastructural resources extensively, and these investments are now reaping results in the form of Trinity IAL students securing excellent pass rates at the international exams. At the Oct. 2020 and Jan. 2021 examinations, Trinity IAL students secured pass rates beyond 94%, reinforcing the age-long Trinity tradition of achieving excellence in whatever they do. The Vice Principal Mr Krishanthan Antonydas, Co-Vice Principal Mr Ananda Marasinghe, Head of the IAL section Mr Jason Wijeyeweera and the Regional Director, Edexcel Asia Mrs Pramila Paulraj graced the occasion.
