“An Exhibition based on theoretical and practical knowledge of the fastest growing industry in the world”
In alliance with the aviation community of Sri Lanka, the young aviation enthusiasts from Trinity College organized ‘AVIEX 2017’, held at the College Main Hall on 30th July 2017. It was a tremendous success, with over 120 participants given an opportunity gain an insight in to this field and to meet and speak with the staff of the aviation training schools.
The concept of ‘AVIEX 2017’ was formulated based on a research conducted by the members of the Trinity College Aviation Society. This analysis showed that even though Sri Lanka consists of many aviation enthusiasts, they lack the resources to educate themselves about aviation as a career.
AVIEX accommodated people regardless of their age, and allowed them to embrace theoretical and practical knowledge of the fastest growing industry in the world – Aviation. The invitation to this exhibition was made public on a complimentary basis which attracted many people from all over the island.
One of main features which made “AVIEX 2017” such a success was the participation of eight acclaimed aviation training schools:
- Asian Aviation Center
- fly Southern Aviation
- Sri Lankan Aviation College
- Open Skies
- Millennium Aviation
- Skyline Aviation
- International Airline & Aviation College
- Fairway Aviation
As Trinity College thrives to educate its younger generations to do jobs which do not yet exist, we believe Aviation should and will be one of the most largest providers of job opportunities in the future.
