APU first opened its doors in 2000 with the aim of creating global leaders in the Asia Pacific region through the faculty of Asia Pacific Management and Asia Pacific Studies. Our multicultural learning environment with students from over 80 different countries and regions, coupled with our dual English/Japanese education system and 91 % job placement rate, has attracted many top students from around the world, which includes over 60 students from Sri Lanka (and 5 students from Trinity College) with an alumina of over 120 students.
APU recognizing the necessity to support countries in the Asia Pacific region has set-up an attractive Tuition Reduction Scholarship scheme that ranges from a 30 % to 100% reduction of the tuition fee (annual tuition is 1,400,000 JPY or roughly 13,100 USD). All the student from Sri Lanka are on Tuition Reduction Scholarships. While the living costs are relatively low (roughly 900,000 lPY or 8,500 USD) compared to other developed countries, students are also encouraged to undertake part-time work to support their living expenses.
APU during the past couple of years offered Trinity College two 100% Tuition Reduction Scholarships to our outstanding students. However, from this year onwards, while the pre-confirmed 100% Scholarship may still be awarded to one top student who meets the required criteria, they would like to accommodate other excellent students recommended from the school as well, by offering them Tuition Reduction Scholarships ranging from 30% to 100% based on their qualifications.
