500 desks and chairs have been bought (funded by the College) to upgrade the facilities available in the classrooms of grades 6 and 7. The new furniture is expected to provide a more comfortable learning environment for the Middle School students. Other grades should be provided with similar furniture, depending on the availability of funds
The furniture in a classroom is hugely important to the overall learning experience. Students must be comfortable, and making sure that chairs are in good posture will help to keep them focused. Good quality furniture will ensure that the classroom stays smarter for longer, and it’s always better long term value for money, strength and stability. A well equipped classroom is critical for effective learning and creativity of the students. We believe that as teaching continues to change, the appearance and the basic needs of a classroom needs to change as well. Trinity College hopes to facilitate such change by modernizing the classrooms.
