The year in retrospect has been a year of considerable success for Hockey at Trinity. We improved on our previous year’s performances and did well at all inter-school tournaments.
Particularly, U14 and U16 had a tremendous improvement in their performance. We were able to have Inter-house matches after many years. Old Boys have established a hockey foundation to support Trinity Hockey. We were able to make all the endeavours a success with the immense support of the College.
The 1st XI team was led by B. M. Edirisinghe while S.H. Amir Shoaib was the Vice Captain.
Both 1st XI and U18 teams were coached by Mr S. Dissanayake under the guidance of Mr Prabath Gunaratne as the Master-in-charge.

Master S.H. Amir Shoaib was selected to participate as a National team member(Sri Lanka Schools’) in the BKSP International Hockey Tournament 2018 held in Bangladesh.
At the end of the season ‘Colours’ was awarded to Amir Shoaib for his outstanding performances. His achievements included:
- Sri Lanka Schools’ U-15 hockey (Junior) team member in the 6’A’ side PESTA International Hockey Tournament held in Malaysia in 2015.
- National team member (Sri Lanka Schools’) in the BKSP International Hockey Tournament 2018 held in Bangladesh.
- Sri Lanka Schools’ hockey colours awarded in 2015
