For their annual educational excursion, this year on March 15th the grade 3 students visited the Pinnawala Open Zoo, Elephant orphanage and Iparanigama (Ancient village).
They set off at 6:45am from College with great excitement and expectation, with their school bags full of snacks and water for the journey.
The trip gave the children the opportunity to see the animals in their natural habitat and to learn and experience the life style of a traditional village that existed during 17 and 18 centuries.
Also, it was a great chance for them to socialise with their peers outside of the classroom, building team spirit and friendship.
It was a fantastic experience for every single child and they enjoyed the journey and had fun, returning to College very tired and happy around 5.45 pm.
