Oriental Music Society emerge winners in Group Singing (open) at the All-Island School Music Competitions 2022

The Orchestra and the Singing group of the Trinity College Oriental Music Society won the 1st place in the Group singing (Open) [සමූහ ගායන (විවෘත)] competition at the All-Island School Music Competitions 2022 held on 19th of November,2022 at the Vidyakara Balika Vidyalaya, Maharagama

The group consisted of 15 students trained by Mr. Chamila Maddegoda and Mrs. Arosha Weerasinghe Manike.

  • Sadew Subasinghe (Vocalist) 
  • Gimneshada Pethiyagoda (Vocalist) 
  • Omiru Jayaweera (Vocalist) 

The orchestra and singing group performed in the competition – උපත ලබා මේ ලෝකේ  (මාතලන් චිත්‍රපටය)

Oriental Music Society won more awards in the following categories:

  • විශිෂ්ටථම අංගය  
  • හොඳම ශාස්ත්‍රීයමය ගුණාත්මක බව්න් යුතු අංගය
