The Trinity College Montessori had its last end of year concert on 23rd November 2018 at the College Hall.
The stage was open to all the boys and girls in the Montessori and the concert was witnessed by many enthusiastic parents and teachers.
The concert provided a realistic environment for the students to avoid stage fright. Its aim was to develop their abilities in announcing, singing, dancing, drama, and to learn about the cultural heritage throughout the world. Moreover, it was a chance to show their talents to their loving parents and friends.
The theme was “Bon Voyage” (happy and safe journey) as it pointing to the fact these children are about to commence their journey in to education in the following year, and it was entertaining to see a group of boys dressed as sailors and compeering throughout the concert.
The greatest challenge was to involve each and every student in the concert, and to ensure they are given a chance to participate. Preparations were started in mid-September. Four classes were amalgamated in to two groups, and each group was assigned two dancing and two singing items. Practices on these items were treated as a part of their daily class work.
The staff members volunteered to be involved in preparing invitations, refreshments, costumes, stage decoration.
Special mention should be made about the assistance extended to the teachers by the parents who were constantly available when needed.
The Montesorri will no longer function from 2019. We thank all the past teachers who have assisted in maintaining high standards in the Trinity College Montesorri.
