An audition session for announcing took place recently for both Middle and Upper school students at the College auditorium on 15th February 2019, organised by the Trinity College Media Unit. This was in preparation of an announcing workshop which is going to be held by the end of February.
The auditions were conducted by Mrs S. Lavanthika (Leturer at the University of Peradeniya and media presenter) and Mr A. Dayaratne (visiting lecturer at the Open university and media presenter) along with Mr L. Bandara (Old Boy and media presenter).
With so many students attending, the lecturers were delighted to see such talented and confident boys and they have volunteered to attend the workshop as well. The workshop will be to recognize and train students who are able to announce and compère.
While extending their gratitude to all the students who came and those who conducted the auditions, the Media Unit hopes to encourage students to join the workshop to gain knowledge and experience in this field and related media work.
