The kindergarten students and teachers have put their effort again in making sure that the students don’t miss out on their creativity due to school closure.
Staying along with their lessons in class, the students were involved in various handwork activities during the second term.
We are delighted to display their creative work on the website!
Celebrating the Mother’s Day
Handwork became a difficult activity with the students moving back to online learning with the 3rd wave of pandemic, Covid 19.
However, the Kindergarten adapted its way through these difficulties and provided the opportunity for the students to be creative in their home.
Students of Grade 2 rallied round to celebrate Mother’s Day by creating beautiful cards to present to their beloved Mothers on Sunday the 09th of May, 2021. This is the first time we are displaying their wonderful art on the website.
Weaving activities
Art & Craft not only exercises kindergartners’ creativity and imagination but helps them sharpen motor skills and critical thinking as well.
Here are some of the weaving skills displayed by Grade 2 students during their online Handwork Sessions.
Making Suncatchers
Getting students to create suncatchers was another interesting activity Kindergarten undertook. Students were brought together via Microsoft Teams sessions while teachers taught them the process.
Suncatchers were created in relation to the environment related activity lesson ” අපට පෙනෙන අහස “.
