Launch of the Third Edition of The Trinitian – The Digital Magazine of Trinity College, Kandy

We are pleased to launch the 3rd Edition of THE TRINTIAN – The Digital Magazine of Trinity College, Kandy on our College Website.

The focus of the third edition of The Trinitian will be the second half of the T150 Sesquicentennial Anniversary year activities. While the second half of 2022 presented a series of unprecedented challenges in terms of socio-economic upheavals in the macro environment of the country, the Trinity community moved forward with resilience and hope, engaging themselves in spirited activities according to the College’s academic and co-curricular calendar.

From resuming traditional sports activities such as the Bradby, to cultural performances such as the Oriental Music Day celebration, to a first-of its kind inter-house Culinary Competition to reinstating the Art-Circle, to commissioning new infrastructure projects were some of the key happenings of the latter half of 2022 which the College records with contentment.

This issue of The Trinitian records with pride how various Trinity communities came together to “look to the end” and find that proverbial “light at the end of the tunnel” which helped her overcome the rigors of contemporary life in Sri Lanka.

The Trinitian team is humbled and grateful to acknowledge the growing readership they have secured since the inception of the magazine just one year ago and look forward in providing interesting and exciting news of the “best school of all” in the year 2023 as well.

We hope you would enjoy reading The Trinitian by clicking on the below link, as much as we enjoyed compiling it for you..

Wishing all our readers a fulfilling and rewarding 2023!

  • “Getting hired begins long before the interview. It begins on paper.”

An insightful evening at the ‘Get Hired on Paper First’ Masterclass as students explored the real-world art of crafting impactful CVs, understanding recruiter expectations, ATS screening, AI in recruitment, and the importance of presenting their authentic professional selves with clarity and confidence.

Students were reminded that every experience tells a story, and every story matters.

A sincere thank you to Mrs Judy Menoji Kalupahana for generously sharing her expertise, experience, and invaluable industry insights with the young Trinitians!

  • It was genuinely exciting to see the enthusiasm of the young Trinitians throughout the 3D Design & Printing Workshop at the AI & Robotics Laboratory. 💯

From Grade 5 students upwards, the lab was filled with creativity, CAD modelling on Autodesk Fusion 360, digital prototyping, 3D scanning, and live industrial-grade 3D printing in action. Watching students transform their own digital designs into real-world objects was an incredible experience.

It was genuinely exciting to see the enthusiasm of the young Trinitians throughout the 3D Design & Printing Workshop at the AI & Robotics Laboratory. 💯

From Grade 5 students upwards, the lab was filled with creativity, CAD modelling on Autodesk Fusion 360, digital prototyping, 3D scanning, and live industrial-grade 3D printing in action. Watching students transform their own digital designs into real-world objects was an incredible experience.

And this is just the beginning… many more technology and innovation workshops are yet to come!
