On December 16th, 2023, unfolded a most awaited event: “Senkanda 23’’, a mountain biking event organized by Trinity College Cycling Club. Having the serene beauty of Udawaththakele Sanctuary as the backdrop, the day wheeled off with excitement and enthusiasm as the participants and the Trinity College Cycling Club gathered at the premises at 8.00 a.m.
The highlight of Senkada 23’ was the thoughtful provision of transport facilities for all attendees making the event much smoother and comfortable for the participants.
Behind the curtains, Trinity College has a group of teachers and students who worked tirelessly from guiding the cyclists on track to preparing the awards. Their commitment and hard work did not go unnoticed, and their contributions became pivotal on making Senkanda 23’ a successful one.
The Trinity College Cycling Club expresses its gratitude to Mr. Dulanjaya Abeywickrama, Mrs. Ruth Wijesinghe, Mrs. Umaga Bandara, Mrs. Kalpani Bandaranayake, Mrs. Maheesha Wijeratne, Mrs. Bhagya Dissanayake, Mr. Kanishka Samarasundara, Mr. Wasana Dissanayake, Mr. Jagath Kalugampitiya, Mr. Dilmin Bandaranayake, and Mr. Rathnayake for their tireless effort towards the event.
As the curtains close for the year 2023, Senkanda stands as a memorable testament for Trinity College Cycling community, bringing-forth the hidden potential of TCK students and the staff.
