Knowledge, teamwork and a shared spirit of learning took centre stage as students from Grades 6 to 13 gathered for ‘Al Bahs’, the inaugural Intra-School Islamic Quiz Competition organised by the Trinity College Islamic Students’ Movement. Held on 30 June 2026, the competition encouraged participants to deepen their understanding of Islamic teachings while fostering collaboration and critical thinking.
Competing in teams of four, students tackled a series of questions covering Islamic teachings, history and values. Working within a set time, each team combined its knowledge, discussed answers and relied on effective teamwork to respond with confidence and accuracy.
Beyond testing knowledge, the competition encouraged participants to think critically, communicate effectively and learn from one another in a respectful and supportive environment. The enthusiasm displayed throughout the afternoon reflected the students’ commitment to both learning and teamwork.
The Islamic Students’ Movement expressed its appreciation to the teacher-in-charge, faculty advisers and committee members whose dedication and careful planning ensured the smooth conduct of the event. Teachers and judges also commended the participants for their preparation, discipline and exemplary sportsmanship.
As its first edition, ‘Al Bahs’ marked an important milestone for the Islamic Students’ Movement. With the positive response from students and staff alike, the organisers hope to establish the competition as an annual event, providing future generations of Trinitians with another opportunity to strengthen their knowledge, leadership and spirit of collaboration.
