A day full of thrills and excitement kicked off at the Trinity College Rugby Stadium, Pallekele on the 26th of May 2018.
In the presence of the Vice Principal Mr. J.D Wilson, The Prefect of Games Mr. Shane de Silva, The Director of Sports Mr. Alex Lazarus, Head Master of the Middle School Mr. S.P Senarathne, and the House Masters/Mistresses of the five houses, the day kicked off with a bang with over 20 matches scheduled to be played during the course of the day.
Two teams from each house (U12 and U14) battled it out to be crowned champions of their respective age groups. The boys showed immense skill, talent and determination as they played each house once. After a long series of matches the Under 12 trophy was won by Pilcher House beating Gibson House 17-5.

- 3rd Place – Sahayam House
- 4th Place – Squealary House

Although Pilcher House was fancied to win the Under 14 title as well, there was a twist in the tale as Squealary House won the trophy after managing to restrict the boys from Pilcher to a 5 all draw. Since Pilcher was coming off a draw before the final to Gibson House (who eventually ended up in 5th place) they were second to Squealary by a mere 2 points.

We were delighted to have Old Boy, Clement Isack present to officiate the matches, whilst teaching the art of refereeing to our Under 18 Rugby Players .
Our immense gratitude goes to Mr. Saliya Kumara, Mr. Y.M.S. Rathnayake and Mr. Shiran Sampath for the efforts in making the event a success. The tournament also acted as a selection for the Under 12 and Under 14 teams, which helped the coaching staff of both age groups to plan out their squad prior to the matches scheduled for the rest of the year against other schools.
